Soul City Sweatshirt

Soul City was an early 70s experiment in creating a black utopia in rural North Carolina. It failed. Growing up only a couple of miles from Soul City, I often thought of what it could've been had really succeeded in its intention. This sweatshirt is a tribute to those efforts and to a community that still lives on.

This sweatshirt features my recreation of the community logo that I drove by almost daily at the entrance of the community.
